Would you buy a posh Mondeo? Ford is betting that some people will, as next year sees the Blue Oval introduce a new Vignale trim level and equipment package that offers not just more style and luxury for your money but also an exclusive, premium customer and ownership experience. As a precursor to this move, Ford has today unveiled a pair of Mondeo Vignale Concept cars, one based on the next-generation Mondeo saloon, the other on the estate.
Jaguar are to fit the 2.0 litre EcoBoost engine to the XF for the Chinese market as a more affordable entry point for the XF range. Even though Jaguar Land Rover are yet to get official Chinese Government approval for their Joint Venture with Chery, China is already a big market for them and, just like other luxury car makers, they are willing to produce cars just for the China market. According to reports from China, the Jaguar XF is about to get the 2.0 litre EcoBoost engine from the Range Rover Evoque to create a new entry-level Jaguar XF at a more appealing price point.

Fiat used the Italian Motor Show to pull the wraps of the production version of the Grande Punto Abarth SS. And we’re still going to call it a Fiat first, and an Abarth second. The SS comes as a kit and will boost the Punto up to 178bhp and 199lb ft.
